My K-Mart Super Doubles Shopping Trip & CVS Too!

Well, K-Mart was alot of fun this morning! Everything was very well stocked! Probably because K-Mart didn't advertise the super doubles on their sales flier. I got everything in the picture above for $4.90! My total before coupons was $72.17. I think that's the best I've ever done at K-Mart. Go here and here to see what coupons I used for these products. The Poise Liners coupons I found in yesterdays USA Weekend. There were 2 coupons both for $2/1 Poise Liner. I also used a $5/$50 K-Mart coupon (thanks Rachal!). So that helped bring down my out of pocket cost. Also if you have the $2 off any Discover purchase coupon that was in the inserts a while back remember to use that. (Only if you're paying with discover). I read on another blog that that coupon is doubling. I sure wish I would have thought to use it! If I would have my total would have only been $.90! I'm trying to be happy with the deal I got. :-)
After K-Mart I decided to stop at CVS. I got everything in the above picture for $2.63 + tax! If you have a CVS close by you've got to stop by! Some great deals! My out of pocket cost was so low because I used ECBs from previous purchases to help pay my products! Go here to see a list of all the available coupons you can use to snag this stuff.
Sometimes I am just amazed at all the deals available by simply using your coupons with a sale. And to think that I've been missing out on all these good deals for years! :-(

  1. Michelle,You did great!!!! Did you have to request the $2 off Tide stain release or how did that work for you? I love seeing pictures of other people's deals!!! Last week I threatened to quit CVSing and just go SPEND my ECB's. Am I ever glad I Didn't!!

    Here's what I got at K-Mart:
    1-Tide Stain Release
    1-Glade Fabric and Air freshener
    4-Starbucks Frappacino's
    1-Friskies Natural cat treats
    5-Special K cereal
    1-Hershey's Kisses
    2-Pringles
    1-Tic Tac Chill
    -Lea and Perrins Worch. sauce
    -1 Celestial seasonings tea
    2-Lollipops (for my children's good behavior!) :)
Total after coupons: 1.34 (Should have been .84, but they messed up a coupon) Oh well...I don't mind too much! :)

At CVS I got 3 Tide detergent, 1 dryer bar, 3 dish soap, 1 vaseline sheer infusion, 1 Acu-check monitor, 2 photo boards on clearance for .79, 1 2-pk erasers for .09, 2 2-pk magnetic clips for fridge. (.09) I paid 7.03 out of pocket, but I ended up with 3 more ECB's than I started with. So, around 4.03!

  2. When she scanned the tide stain release it rang up at regular price. I showed her the ad so she voided it and then punched it in manually at $2.49. Then later she saw on the right of her screen that I had a $2 reward but it hadn't deducted it yet off the total. The manager told her just to leave it so I actually would have gotten that bag for $.49, + I had my $1.50 coupon which doubled to $2.49. So I actually made $2 on it. I decided if the manager told her not to change the price I guess I won't worry about it. In the past not all my coupons were scanned properly so I guess were even now. :-)

Wow! $1.34 is very good! I think I might check back later in the week and get a couple more items then use my $2 discover coupon.

  3. Yea I'll probably be back too! :)
I saw after my first comment that I "made" $2 also, but the customer service person intentionally (very intentionally) cheated me out of a $2 coupon. So I guess I got even too!! :)

  4. You have inspired me to try to get to Kmart this week if I can! I just didn't feel like putting forth the effort...but maybe I'll take the time.

    You got some great bargains!

  5. Michelle,

I happened upon your blog a while back not knowing who you were. :) I talked to your parents on Sunday at church and they are VERY proud of your deals and your couponing! Your mom and I had a nice long chat. :) Next time you're at church we'll have to talk. I don't have very many couponing friends.

At any rate, this week was an AWESOME week for bargain shoppers. I happen to have a Walgreen, Rite Aid, CVS, Kmart, Giant Eagle, Target and Walmart available. :) I sound like a shopaholic! I'm not...but my husband was in need of razors and I stopped at all 3 pharmacies for free or .29 Fusions. That in itself was great.

Also, got to do the Proctor and Gamble deal at CVS. We have tissues, Tide and dishwash soap to last us for a while now. Doe your CVS give rainchecks? That's what I love about CVS. They give me rainchecks even if it's for an item that will be free with extra care bucks.

Stopped at Kmart and got a great deal. Pringles and Starbucks drinks are hanging out at our house too. :) The cashier didn't even know about it. She was amazed at how low my total got after the coupons. It should have been 2.00 less but I got tired of trying to tell her that some of the coupons hadn't scanned. :(

I wish we had a Krogers but till we get one I'll have to make do with Giant Eagle and Walmart.

Sorry to get so long winded. :)

  6. Heather-
Hey, It's good to hear form you! I was just talking to my mom this morning and she was telling me that you've started couponing and you even have your own little stockpile. :-) Isn't it great! I understand the need to talk about it...that's why I started this blog. I thought everyone has got to know what they're missing out on. :-)

That's nice that you have CVS, RA, and Wags close by! I often wished for a Wags! Maybe someday Mt. Vernon will get one. Until then I'll try to be content with CVS and RA. Yep, my CVS gives rainchecks and I also discovered that RA does too.

Even if you don't have a Kroger close by you have a Target. You can do very good at Target because they have their own printable coupons that you can stack with manufacturer coupons. Our clossest Target is about 40 min away so when I do get there I try to get on all the deals I can. hip2save.com does a very good job with highlighting all the Target deals.

Thanks for dropping a note. It's good to hear from my readers!
