Recipe: Little Debbie Cookies

So yesterday I was making these cookies and I thought I'd post the recipe on here. Well I never got it posted beings my day ended up being very busy. This is my favorite cookie! That's saying a lot coming from me beings I'm crazy about chocolate and these cookies have no chocolate.

Little Debbie Cookies
1 1/2 C. butter
4 1/2 C. brown sugar
6 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
3 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 C. flour
4 1/2 C. oatmeal

Mix in order given. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Do NOT overbake! The key to a good cookie is not overbaking it! Put frosting between 2 cookies. Yield: 40 cookies

I don't really have a recipe I go by for the frosting. I usually just dump a little of this and that in. I tried to come up with a recipe for you to go by.

Frosting
3 1/2 C. Crisco
4 1/2 C. powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
3 T. milk

Beat together until creamy. I don't like my frosting very sweet so you may have to add more powdered sugar to your liking.

  2. Are these sort of like Oatmeal Whoopie Pies? They look and sound yummy. One of these days when I'm in a baking mood (and we need sweet stuff) I'll have to try them.
