Recipe: Little Debbie Cookies

So yesterday I was making these cookies and I thought I'd post the recipe on here. Well I never got it posted beings my day ended up being very busy. This is my favorite cookie! That's saying a lot coming from me beings I'm crazy about chocolate and these cookies have no chocolate.

Little Debbie Cookies
1 1/2 C. butter
4 1/2 C. brown sugar
6 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
3 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 C. flour
4 1/2 C. oatmeal

Mix in order given. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Do NOT overbake! The key to a good cookie is not overbaking it! Put frosting between 2 cookies. Yield: 40 cookies

I don't really have a recipe I go by for the frosting. I usually just dump a little of this and that in. I tried to come up with a recipe for you to go by.

3 1/2 C. Crisco
4 1/2 C. powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
3 T. milk

Beat together until creamy. I don't like my frosting very sweet so you may have to add more powdered sugar to your liking.

  1. Hey, cool! A recipe! :) I bookmarked this in my Google Reader... gotta try them cuz I LOVE the Little Debbie ones!

  2. Are these sort of like Oatmeal Whoopie Pies? They look and sound yummy. One of these days when I'm in a baking mood (and we need sweet stuff) I'll have to try them.

  3. Hmmm...I've never heard about Oatmeal Whoopie Pies. I wonder if they're the same thing?

  4. Ohhhh I love these cookies. Shouldn't even make them but I'm gonna! :)
