Kroger: FREE Duracell Batteries *Now Dead*

I thought I'd bump up this post to let you know that the Duracell catalina is no longer printing. It was suppose to print until 12/4 but they obviously decided to pull it. I'm very sorry if you ordered coupons. My deepest apologies. I guess we need to try to look on the bright side and be thankful we can get them for $.48 a pack.

Over the weekend I had time to stop at Kroger and try out the Duracell catalina. First of all the catalina is running on Duracell Batteries until 12/4: Buy $15 worth of Duracell Batteries and receive a $3 coupon good for your next purchase. The great thing about this catalina is that the $15 is calculated on the shelf price and NOT the sale price!  Here's what you need to do.

Purchase 4 Duracell Batteries 4pk or 2pk - $1.98 (shelf price $3.85)
Use 4 - $.75/1 Duracell from 10/10PG or $1.50/1 Duracell from 11/14 RP
Total out of pocket - $1.92 plus get back a $3 catalina!!! FREE!!!

Now let me tell you, free batteries doesn't come by very often. So if you need batteries I would recommend buying some Duracell coupons. I found this clipping service here that you can buy 20 $.75/1 Duracell coupons for $1.00. Shipping starts at $.69. If you spend $2.00 or more shipping is free. Your best bet would be to buy 2 lots of 20 coupons each and that would bring your total to $2.00. So in essence you'd only be spending $2 to buy 40 packs of batteries! Talk about a sweet deal! Also I should mention that the Duracell batteries will be on sale for $1.98 through 12/4. So that gives you plenty of time to order coupons and get them used at Kroger.
