  1. Wow! Thanks for all your hard work. I know match-ups take a long time!
Just a note: Some of the Scotch Brite items were actually 1.50, so with the coupon doubled they would be only .75 each when you buy 2.
    Hurray for fre pasta!!

  2. Sure Would be nice to have a detailed list of all the items in the mega event along with the prices!!!

  3. Yea thanks to both of you! You all give up on the triple coupons?? Or still hoping?

Just a question from a while back.. where was the coupon for the shrimp poppers? I looked several times through the SS and thought I must be blind as a bat!

  4. Michelle,
Yes that would be nice!! Since they are making a list, why not just put the price beside it???

    Grace,
The Shrimp popper coupon is in the 2-07 SS.
They are yummy.....as far as unhealthy food goes anyway. :) If I remember right, the coupon is on the bottom right hand side of a page.
Oh yes I am still hoping for triple coupons. Never give up!! We still have this weekend and next weekend to combine triples with the mega event! All we can do is hope.

Michelle, we should decide who will call in this time, so they don't get two "out of the blue" phone calls again!!! ;)

  5. I'm still hoping for triples too and saving my $.50 and lower q's for the mega event.

He, he, Rachal. Maybe it's good when they get 2 phone calls "out of the blue". Maybe they'll get the idea that they need to triple coupons all the time! Wouldn't that be nice? I think they should!

  6. Don't get greedy you two. :) I thought I would get a great deal today at Kroger but then it fell through. I won a free 20 oz coke zero in the march to savings game. Today I found a big bin of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups King Size for 1.00 each with peelie coupons along with it to buy a 20 oz coke and a Reeses King size and get 1.00 off. I thought bingo...free Reeses and Free Coke but unfortunately they didn't have any 20 oz Coke zeros in the store but hey, I will look again the next time. Don't know if the Reeses are the same price or have the coupons out your way but might be worth checking out.

  7. Valerie,
That sounds great! I will have to look for those! Did the Reese's have the peelie's or are you talking about tearpad coupons on the display?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Thanks for the heads up Valerie!. We'll have to keep an eye out for those Rachal. I normally don't drink Coke Zero but will consider it if I can get it for FREE!

    ReplyDelete
  9. The Reese's is what I was going for Michelle! :) I can bribe my sister....
I will get the Coke Zero that I won from the Hoops game, plus the king sized Reese's, use the coupon and get it all free...THEN ahem, I will ask my sister for all her .55/1 Reese's coupons and give her my coke zero, plus a wad of coupons (If they are from a tearpad and get MORE FREE REESE'S!! (Too bad those are for the dark choholate since I looooove milk chocolate.) I am bad. ;)

  10. Wait a minute.
Valerie did you just call us greedy? Unbelievable! Lol!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  11. He, He...if only Valerie saw how we like to hang around the blinkies at Kroger. :)

I don't like dark chocolate either...but can't complain too much if you get it free.

I suppose you'll probably go to Kroger tomorrow to check for the tearpad of coupons? :) Just kidding! :) Just make John stop at every Kroger in Columbus so you can check for coupons. :) I'm sure he wouldn't mind. :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Thursday when we go to Columbus, we are definetely filling up with Kroger gas!! :)
Will I go look for the coupons tomorrow?? That may be too late! I have to go tonight!!!!
Just kidding of course!! :) Ha!
What in the world did we do before couponing "hit" us?? :)
I think in the old days, people lived and worked together more. They probably talked about making soap, butter, and the cheapest place to get flour. Now that we all live more isolated lives, we don't have much opportunity for socialization besides church. Blogs like this give us an opportunity to connect, share tips....and now we talk about how to get soap for free instead of how long to stir the pot when the soap starts cooking. :)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Ha, Rachal..you're too fuuny! But it is true that we're more isolated now and this gives us a wat to connect day to day.

Wouldn't it be fun for us both to take off one day, get babysitters, go to Columbus, and vist all the Krogers and Kroger gas stations looking for tearpad coupons? He, He that would be a trip! In my dreams I guess because we wouldn't be saving money by just driving down there for coupons.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yea that would be a blast, but definetely not a money saving trip!
You could get the coupons and I could follow you around and video tape you like Colin on hiptosave!! HE-HE!!! Now wouldn't that be funny! John and Jeremy would probably be so embarresed! :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'm dying with laughter!!!! Our husbands would probably disown us.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yea they probably would! LOL!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ok ladies - hand over the dark chocolate to the woman who is pregnant AND loves dark chocolate. I really need it!!! :) Your poor, poor husbands. I will be watching for this video. I really think you should take turns filming so we get to watch both of you grabbing the entire pads of coupons.... lol

One question - I'm wondering what the Lays chips coupon is. We didn't get it in our paper and I noticed Giant Eagle has their chips on sale next week. I was contemplating buying some on ebay but all the lays coupons on ebay are for "NEW" lays. What are new lays? and what did your coupon say?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ladies you are hilarious and I think a video of you shopping and grabbing deals could definitely be a hit. :) Yes Rachel that was a TEARPAD of coupons on the Reeses. Not sure why I had peelie in mind at the time. I don't go for the coke either and was so wishing I would have won something else but hey...if I could get a free Reeses out of the deal it would definitely make the whole situation much better.

Yeah...tell me about these "NEW" Lays. Are they part of the mega sale?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Well ladies, the Lays coupon says Save $1 wyb any bag of new Lays chips made with all natural ingredients, 10 1/2 oz or larger, any new flavor or variety. It pictures 2 bags of chips, 1 is Tangy Carolina BBQ and the other is Cheese & Chilis.-I couldn't read the the full flavor on the last one because it's partly covered up. Rachal do you know what it is? I think you need to make sure whatever lays chips you buy say "all Natural on them" Kroger only had the 2 kinds I listed above that stated "All Natural" I wish there would have be a bigger variety of flavors to choose from. And yes Valerie, they are included in the Mega sale.

    ReplyDelete
  20. The other flavor of "new" Lays chips is Garden Tomato and Basil. I bought some but haven't tried them yet.
And by the way, we don't grab whole tearpads of coupons!!! I usually get enough for myself and some for my couponing buddies but NEVER the entire thing! Just so you know....and neither do we empty blinkie machines!
And sorry to dissapoint you, but I don't think you'll see a video of us grabbing coupons!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yes, Rachal right we don't grab whole tear pads of coupons or empty blinkies. It's just nice though that Kroger has had a blinkie with coupons for Kraft cheese for the last 2 months. So every time you go you can grab a couple.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Oh come on. You just ruined the mental image I had. Which makes me think - someone really needs to come up with a comic strip where the lady is a die hard couponer. Do you know how funny this could be? I think it would be a hit.

Anyway, I have my doubts that the 'new' lays are included in next weeks B1G1 sale. The picture in ad just shows a couple of 'old' :) lays bags.

    ReplyDelete
  23. You never know Heather. I didn't expect the New Lays to be included in the mega event and they are. :)
That comic strip is a great idea!
I have also thought of a couponing board game. You know like the farming game or something like that. :) Coupons and all.....

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hey now the board game is good idea. I can see it now at family reunions...the men gathered around the farming game and the women gathered around the coupon clippers game.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well ladies, maybe we'll have to put our heads together and create this game!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Lets do it! We might be able to make a lot of money!!! Of course we'd have to issue coupons for this game from time to time so people would buy it! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Valerie,
You said you couldn't find the Coke Zero. (In case you haven't tasted it, it's GROSS!)
Did you look up front by the checkout? That's where I found mine. And check more than one. They don't always have all the same drinks.
