My Kroger Triples Shopping Trip

You guys have probably been wondering where on earth I've been today. No, I didn't spend the whole day at Kroger. :) That would have been fun though...:) I'm actually away this weekend at a cabin with my family. I wanted to let you guys know that you have got to go to Kroger if you have one close!!! There are some awesome deals going on with the triple coupon event!!! I got everything in the above pictures for $34.16. My total before coupons was $137.34. That's a savings of 75%!!! I'm just having such a fun time with couponing! I was telling my husband tonight that I'm spending less now on groceries and our pantry is so much fuller!!! We've been blessed! Basically everything I got today I had a coupon for except the mozzarella cheese and lettuce. (didn't make it on the picture).

Here's a rundown of everything I got:

10 Betty Crocker Fruit Shapes
3 Fiber One Granola Bars
3 Nature Valley Granola Clusters *Be on the lookout for a blinke machine with a $.50/1 coupon by these clusters*
5 Nature Valley Granola Bars
2 Yo-Plus Yogurt
1 Yoplait Kids Yogurt
18 Cresant Rolls
4 Cinnamon Rolls
8 Grands Biscuits
2 Pillsbury Toaster Strudels
1 Gallon Milk
1/2 Gallon Chocolate Milk
2 Kroger shredded mozzarella cheese (didn't have a coupon)
3 sobes (didn't have a coupon)
3 French's Worstershire Sauce
4 Betty Crocker Frosting
Lettuce (no coupon)
4 Dole Canned Pineapple
3 Heinz Vinegar
13 Gerber Baby Foods

To see a list of Kroger coupon match-ups go here or Marcy has a list here. (Thanks, Marcy!)
The triple coupon event is still going on today and tomorrow. I would advise calling your local Kroger to make sure they're particapting.
Did you find some awesome grocery deals this week? I'd love to hear about it!

BTW-If you're wondering how on earth I'm going to use 18 tubes of cresant rolls, I'm not! I got them for my sister-in-laws and friends.:)

  1. that is so awesome Michelle. I am visiting Mom and Dad right now and don't know where the closest Kroger would be to here. Probably yours. I was actually wondering how you would use up all those crescent rolls. :) -Valerie

  3. Valerie-
The closest Kroger is probably the one in Mt. Vernon. My mom wishes so much they'd have a Kroger in their area! Does your Kroger ever have triples?

  4. Monica,
The coupon for the milk was available a while back on coupons.com with putting in a certain zip. I'm not quite comfortable posting on my blog to put in a certain zip to obtain a certain coupon. I should find out what the zip was and see if it's still available. You has to buy a gallon of white milk and then you got a 1/2 gallon of chocolate milk free.

How much is the Dole fruit?

  7. Wow, that was quite a week of couponing, between K-mart and Kroger! It was fun stocking cupboards, but it's good every week isn't quite like that 'cause it does take time. Interesting to see your picture Michelle! I should have taken one! I got $195 worth of stuff for $50...bought a few things without coupons too. I noticed you didn't buy any of the Helper meals. Did you ever try any? I tried some for the first last week, and I decided they work nice for lunches and taste pretty decent. I bought 18 of them! It's just amazing how much just the boys can eat these days. -Grace

  8. No, I've never tried Hamburger Helper. I should maybe give it a try...

I know what you mean about last week being a good week for stockpiling and it's very time consuming. I'm sure glad every week isn't like that! I just want a break this week!

  9. Hamburger Helper? I know you didn't ask my opinion...but I will give it anyway. :) I think some of them are not good at all, then there are some that are decent but not extremely tasty. If you have some to recomend...I might try some more varieties. :)

  10. So Grace, which kinds do you like the best?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Well, I haven't tried many, of course, so I might have bought some we won't like. But I think if I add a little sour cream or roasted red peppers or a little of my own imagination, it adds some character. I tried the Philly Cheesesteak and some kind of tuna one. We like tuna but I don't have many recipes for it, so a tuna meal gives some variation. Grace
