Well, I made it to K-Mart and back. It can be quite an adventure with 2 kiddos along! They did really good today for the most part. There's a lot of good deals this week at K-Mart. Here's a rundown of everything I got today.
4 - 3 pk Sparkle Paper Towels - $2.99 ea

(used 4 - $2/2 printable coupon-no longer available)

8 - Easy Mac Cups - $1.09 ea (somehow this missed my picture)
(used 4 - $1/2 printable coupons-no longer available)
Total before coupons - $71.03
Total after coupons - $14.96!!!
The paper towels and Angel Soft tp I bought for Rachal and my Mom. When I got home and looked over my receipt I discovered that one of my coupons for the Pert Plus Shampoo never was deducted. So I think I'll return that bottle of shampoo. You need to really watch when they're scanning your coupons to make sure they're all scanning properly. Especially watch the coupons that are off 2 or more items. Example: $2/2 coupon. If you're buying 2 items that are $2.50 ea. the computer may only double the coupon to $2.50 because it thinks you're only buying 1 item when really you have 2 items that are totalling $5.00. So it's suppose to double the entire coupon to $4.00. I don't know if that makes any sense or not...
Did you make to K-Mart? What did you get?

Hurray for you! I am hoping to post my bargains later...I'm in the middle of canning peaches now.
ReplyDeleteYes, I did go, and I made Annette go along, because I wasn't sure if they would stick to the 10 items or not, but they didn't. I made her get some of the items anyway, and she was so embarrassed to use all these coupons, but I wasn't! My total before coupons was 39.39, and after coupons 12.54. Hers was 53.91 and after coupons 12.19. I don't have time to list everything and the savings, but I got a couple shampoos, several body washes, quite a bit of deodarant, pads, 2 toothpastes, dental floss, mouthwash, some cleaning items, a few food items, 2 A-1 sauce, etc. And there were a few non coupon items thrown in there like cat litter. I was sure glad I found out about this as I don't think I ever found out before when they had double coupons. And I'm looking forward to the next time they do it!

ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear about your trip to K-Mart! It's always interesting to me to see what deals others get! You're quite the busy lady with canning and all. I did my corn today )with my mom's help)- 15 dz. I had to think of you. :) I'm actually not doing very much canning and freezing this year. I did alot last year and don't really need to do much.
Twila-
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm glad you were able to snag some good deals at K-Mart. I wondered whether you had K-Mart in your area. You can usually expect K-Mart to double coupons once a month. You can tell Annette that she gave me a good laugh tonight. Maybe one of these days we can get her to the point not to be embarrassed to use a bunch of coupons. ;-)
I finally got my post up. I had to laugh at what Twila said about Annette being embarrassed. I've had more than 1 person being embarrassed when they shopped with me on one of my "saving trips". :)
ReplyDeleteWow, 15 dozen of corn doesn't sound too bad. I would love if next year we still have enough food left over that I don't have to can/freeze much. Unfortunately, this year we were nearly wiped clean of most things. And we are bigger eaters than a lot of people I think...so I just have learned to be okay with doing more. Glad your mom was able to help. Aren't moms great?!
